In recognition of the beneficial reuse of Biosolids, previous New Hampshire State Governor Jeanne Shaheen declared May 16, 2000 as Biosolids Recycling Day. The points made in this proclamation still hold true, especially the cooperative nature of these recycling efforts between facilities, farmers, landowners, New Hampshire citizens, (and companies like us!) all of whom must work together for land application programs to remain successful in the Granite State. We look towards a future where Biosolids Recycling Day is a nationally celebrated holiday, where we all, as stated by Jeanne, “recognize the importance of biosolid(s) recycling contributions to the quality of life in our state.”
