DEHUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM OVERVIEW
- The Shincci SBDD4800FL evaporates 4,800 kilograms (10,582lbs) of water in a 24 hour period
- It takes 1 kWh to evaporate 3.5 kilograms (1 Gallon) of water
- To dry 1 ton of sludge cake from 20% to 90%, average of 200 kWh
- The 4800 unit is 7.5 ft. wide, 8.0 ft. high (not including fans) and 21.36 ft. long
- This modular unit is also available in a 7200 unit, which is 30.22 ft. long
- Starting with the 9600 unit, the machine steps up in size – 10.2 ft. wide and 10.5 ft. high (26 to 111 ft. long)
- There are two smaller units that ship fully assembled, the 1200 and the 2400 units
HOOKSETT STATISTICS
- Hooksett is a .7 MGD – 1,600 wet tons sludge/year plant
- No primary sludge, all sludge is secondary
- Liquid sludge feed is 45 gallons per minute at an average of 1.5% solids
- Made a change from aerating sludge holding tanks to settling overnight and decanting off the top to get a more consistent liquid sludge feed to the belt press
- 16.5% average solids dropping into the dryer
- Belt is moving 60 seconds – then, rests 215 seconds
- Roughly 5 rpm at 76⁰C (170⁰F)
- Currently running 24 hours per day, 5 days a week, producing 5 cubic yards of finished product (roughly 500 lbs./CY) per day
- Product is in the dryer just under 4 hours
- Under current operating conditions the cost is less than $7/hr. to run
