Wood is Good, and so is Wood Ash!
Burning wood from local sources to generate clean, local energy makes sense for New Hampshire. Keeping the Burgess wood-fired biomass plant operating is especially good for northern NH because it is a staple of the economy for forestry and for the City of Berlin. It is also good for NH farmers who use the WOOD ASH from this power plant as a local fertilizer to sweeten the soil on their farm fields, and to grow better crops. We urge the Legislature to override the veto on HB 142 this Thursday 10/26.
